As school board trustees we will
advocate for the following:
  • We will advocate for the use of mandatory school uniforms in our public schools. This practice is common in other countries and Canadian students would benefit from its adoption. The cost of these uniforms should be covered in full by the public school system so as not to disadvantage low-income students and their families.
  • We will advocate that a similar standard of professional dress code be required of all educators and staff in our public schools.
  • We will advocate for these measures with the goal of creating a culture of discipline, gratitude, camaraderie, and respect within our public schools.
